Pitching Lessons
For those girls interested in learning to pitch, the league is offering pitching lessons beginning September 9th. There are only 30 positions available. Don't be left out! The lessons will take place weekly for 8 consecutive weeks on either Tuesday or Thursday. Girls will be grouped based upon their pitching experience.***All pitchers need to have a catcher with them at each lesson. If a teammate or sibling is catching (team mates and siblings will need to be in catchers gear), parents should stay nearby during the lesson. You are the best reinforcement possible for your daughter at home. Every pitcher needs a support system, and in order to do that properly, you need to know what she should be doing. ***While catching for your daughter, plan on bringing something to sit on. You can purchase a bucket at the store. Your daughter and you will need a glove and a ball.Please make sure your daughter has water with them. They will be working hard, and dehydration will decrease their body’s ability to function properly.The lesson is outside, the girls should wear cleats. They should also dress appropriately for the weather. If it’s cold out, please have them layer their tops (they usually get hot as the lesson goes on). Baggy sweatshirts and any zip up type jackets tend to interfere with their arm circles.
The cost is $160($20per lesson)
